The US banned Anthropic’s Fable 5 release, but the numbers don’t seem to care

Simply in the direction of the tip of final week, the U.S. authorities compelled Anthropic to discontinue manufacturing of its two newest fashions, Fable 5 and Mythos 5, citing nationwide safety issues after Amazon researchers allegedly found a strategy to circumvent the Fable 5’s guardrails.

Cybersecurity researchers have since signed an open letter calling the transfer harmful, and Anthropic itself factors out that different fashions have the identical jailbreak. So is that this a real safety concern, or simply the newest chapter within the fraught relationship between Anthropic and the Trump administration?
